Bring your garden to life and help wild bees! The Wild Bee Hotel Box contains 60 flower bulbs specially selected for their attractiveness to bees, bumblebees, and other beneficial insects. You can turn the packaging into a bee hotel – instructions are on the box. Our tip: use bamboo sticks instead of logs. Or both, of course.
The flowers in the box offer nectar and pollen from early spring to summer, exactly when bees need food the most. With this box, you create a colorful insect paradise and provide shelter and nesting space for wild bees. Ideal for borders, flower pots, and natural gardens!
The box contains the following bulbs: Tulipa tarda-dasystemon, Crocus Goldilocks, Allium caeruleum, Allium siculum, Chionodoxa luciliae, Allium sphaerocephalon, and Muscari armeniacum.
Care
The flower bulbs in this box are winter-hardy and easy to care for. Plant them between September and December in well-drained soil in a sunny or semi-shaded spot. Extra watering is only necessary during prolonged drought. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back completely so the bulbs can store energy for the next season. You can leave the bulbs in the ground — they will bloom again each year and provide food for bees and butterflies throughout the seasons. The bee hotel is easy to hang in a dry, sunny spot (preferably facing south) at a height of 1–2 meters. Make sure the openings remain clear and the hotel does not get wet from below. In this way, you create a safe nesting place for wild bees that will return to your garden year after year.
