With Tritoma (Kniphofia) 'Ice Queen', you get one of the most unusual flowers in your garden. The plant is also known as 'fire arrow' and with its perfectly straight, pointed inflorescence, it is clear where this name comes from. The flowers have a beautiful white/yellow colour and stand out especially well in a group and, at 150 cm tall, are a striking sight. You can enjoy the beautiful colours in your summer garden from July to September. The tubers can be planted in March-May.

Care
Tritoma 'Ice Queen' does well in nutritious soil, in a sunny spot in humus-rich soil. Plant the tubers at a distance of 50 to 60cm. It is advisable to leave fireflies for a long time. They don't like being divided very much. It will then take several years for them to flower again. After flowering, cut off the stems with spent flowers but leave the leaves on the plant. Cover the plant with a mulch layer in autumn.
