Sambucus Racem Plumosa Aureau is the most beautiful yellow-leaved elder. The yellow color keeps this Elder throughout the season until autumn. The yellow leaves of Sambucus Racem Plumosa Aureau are deeply cut and form the greatest ornamental value on this shrub. From May, white flowers appear in large screens on the bush. The flowers are very popular with butterflies and bees. The dried blossom can be used to make herbal tea. When the leaves just sprout it is still green, but soon it gets the dark color.
Care
Without pruning, the Sambucus can quickly become quite high. But the shrub is easy to prune so you can control the size of this garden plant. To rejuvenate the shrub, prune the shrub back to about 25-40cm above the ground in winter or after flowering. Sambucus 'Racem Plumosa Aureau' does not place high demands on its location and can reach a height of 250cm.
