The Phyllostachys Bissetii, also known as Giant Bamboo in the Netherlands, is a large and fast-growing bamboo species. This bamboo is very wind resistant and is perfectly suitable to be used as a high partition or hedge. The Bissetii grows best in full sun, but also does well in the semi-shade. Bissetii bamboo is the best evergreen bamboo species and is also hardy, which means that it provides a green, relaxing atmosphere in any outdoor space all year round.
Care
Bamboo Bisetii is easy to care for. It is a very strong plant that does not require much care. The bamboo can be pruned all year round, but the best time for this is August or September. The Bissetii is a rampant bamboo, so it is advisable to use a root limiter. Do give the plant enough water, especially in summer. Do the leaves curl? Then it's time for some more water.
