Panicum virgatum 'Northwind' is a beautiful, ornamental grass with blue-green leaves. From July to October, the plant blooms with beautiful silver-white panicles. During the autumn, the leaves turn light yellow-brown and the panicles turn beige. The plant is evergreen until late winter, but then it will drop its leaves and sprout again in spring. This beautiful ornamental grass can grow up to 200 cm high, so it is suitable for any garden.
Care Panicum Northwind prefers a place in the sun on moist, slightly acidic soil. It is important that the plant receives sufficient water in drier seasons. It is advisable to prune the plant back to 10-20 cm above the ground every year in March. This keeps the ornamental grass healthy and you will soon see new shoots.
Size The plants have a height of 40-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 23cm.
