Lilium Asiatic Happy Ice is a beautiful compact lily. Lilies can be found in more and more gardens, and that's not surprising. The iconic white lilies are a graceful addition to the summer garden, blooming from June to August. The lilies are not only beautiful, they also spread a lovely fragrance. The Asian lily stays compact and grows about 45cm tall. Lilium Happy Ice can be planted in the ground as well as in pots, and can be combined well with other types of plants. The bulbs can be planted in spring (March-May), after the last night frost. The lily is also perfect as a cut flower, so you can enjoy its beautiful flowers indoors too. Pick the stems as soon as the bottom flower opens, preferably early in the morning. Place the stems immediately in a vase of lukewarm water with cut flower food.

Care
The bulbs can be planted about 10 cm deep in well-drained soil in spring after the last night frost. First loosen the soil well and sprinkle a layer of sharp sand at the bottom of the planting hole. This allows rainwater to drain well under the bulbs. Place the bulbs about 15 cm apart. While planting, add some good potting soil. The lily likes to grow in a sunny spot, but needs cool feet. So plant the bulb in a place with enough sunlight that you can cover it for cooling if necessary. In addition, always keep the soil slightly moist.
