Care
When properly cared for, lavender plants can bloom profusely. Prune the plants twice a year, in April and in October. If you prune in October, do so to 10 to 15 inches above the ground, but be sure to leave a patch of greenery. The second pruning of lavender takes place after flowering, between August and October. The spent flowers should be removed by cutting them off. Any protruding twigs can also be removed. Water the lavender plants regularly and make sure they get enough light.
