Gerbera Garvinea is a hardy garden gerbera developed from wild species native to South Africa. Unlike traditional gerberas, Garvinea is bred for outdoor use and thrives in borders, pots, and flower beds. It offers continuous blooming from spring to the first frost, producing vibrant daisy-like flowers in a wide range of colors. A key advantage is its excellent resistance to pests and diseases, making it a low-maintenance choice for gardeners. With strong stems and long flowering time, it also makes a great cut flower for bouquets.
Care
Gerbera Garvinea prefers a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming. Apply a balanced fertilizer every few weeks during the growing season. In colder climates, protect the plant with mulch or overwinter indoors.
Size
Upon delivery, the plants have a height of 45-60 cm, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are delivered in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19 cm.
