Dracaenas, also known as dragon trees, are native to tropical Africa or Asia. Their name is derived from the Greek word drakaina, meaning female dragon. When the plant is damaged, red resin flows out of the 'wounds'. This resin is also known as dragon's blood and has been used medicinally since ancient times. Nowadays, it is often used in medication for gastrointestinal complaints as well as dietary supplements. It can also be found in anti-ageing creams: the dragon's blood is said to have an antioxidant effect that is up to 5 times stronger than vitamin E. In this mix of 3 Draceana plants, you will receive a Dracaena Magenta, Bicolor and Marginata. These 3 Dracaenas combined create a tropical atmosphere. The Magenta has beautiful dark green leaves with dark red stripes. The leaves of the Bicolor are somewhat lighter in colour and have subtle red edges. The leaves of the Maginata have a slightly darker shade of green and striking edges. The plants are very easy to care for.

Care
This Dracaena is easy to look after: it likes bright light and a humid atmosphere. Regularly spraying the leaves with water helps keeping the plant beautiful. The plant consumes little water: you only need to water it when the soil feels dry. In summer, it is better to keep the soil a bit more moist. The ideal temperature for this plant is between 18°C and 25°C.

The plant has a height of 30 to 40 cm upon delivery (measured incl. pot). The plant is supplied in a pot with a diameter of 12cm.
